The study presents nine new empirical correlations of reservoir fluids properties: oil formation volume factor, solution gas-oil ratio, pressure, viscosity of gas free oil, viscosity of gas saturated oil, viscosity of undersaturated oil, isothermal compressibility of saturated oil and conversion factor to convert oil formation volume factor and solution gas-oil ratio from differential liberation to flash liberation process at the separator condition

The correlations were developed from large pressure-volume-temperature data sets containing both the flash liberation process data and the data from the differential liberation process that converted to the flash liberation process. Data were gathered from a number of locations worldwide and covered a broad range of fluid compositions, pressures and temperatures. Nonlinear regression analysis was used to process and correlate the data. Example problems for the use of the newly developed correlations and the statistical results are presented.

A sensitivity analysis was performed on all independent variables to determine under which condition a given correlation should be used. It was found that the new developed correlations, in almost all cases, outperformed other fluid physical property correlations.
